Bernina 830 model
by Nancy Creek

In 1972, I started looking for a great sewing machine. I purchased the Consumer's Guide and it stated "The Bernina 830 is almost a flawless machine". I agree. I paid $500 for it new.
When I worked a block off of Rodeo Drive, in Beverly Hills, I would spend my lunch hour "window-shopping", and go home to copy the expensive clothes.
Women would stop me on the street and ask where I purchased the dress... "I made it for $10" (of course they wanted one!).
15 years later I had the motor rebuilt... nothing else. I'm even still using the original electric cords! It's amazing.
