Bernina Activa 135S

My story is one of disappointment unfortunately. I purchased a new machine the Bernina Activa 135s about 7 years ago based on my sister's recommendation - she had the same machine and was learning to quilt.

I did not use it much until recently and one day as I was sewing it stopped - the lights came on but nothing on the panel would show up and there was absolutely no response from the foot pedal.

I took it to an authorized dealer who told me the s-print computer board was out and replacement would cost over $500! That is half of the original price I paid! I think I may have less than 20 hours on the Bernina Activa 135S sewing machine and of course the warranty is no longer valid due to time.

I am so sad I hardly no what to do. Even if I had the money, I don't believe this should happen to a rarely used machine.

I work on computers daily and have only had one mother board go out after 5 years of constant use so this makes no sense to me. oh well...
