Bernina Bernette 234 serger

I love this Bernina Bernette 234 serger and will not trade it in for anything computerized. It is a workhorse and has never been to the repair shop.
I bought a Husqvarna 500 and replaced the computer card at $500-almost the same cost as the machine and now the card died again! I will not put another $500 into a machine that already cost me $1000.00.
I am looking for a "mechanical Bernina" because I will use the sewing machine for quilting and generally making pillows and furniture covers, etc. I do use the serger for knits and then go to the sewing machine for the straight stitching.
I am new to Florida and went to a sewing machine repair shop thinking that I could find a used Bernina and actually found that all he had was one "workhorse"-a 1950s Pfaff-many computerized machines are on his shelves and he would not sell me any of those!
Again, I will see the Berninas that are supposed to be at the quilting shop on North Wickham, but I am only interested in purchasing another "workhorse" that is not constantly in need of repair. Keep sewing, Linda
