Brother 4000D embroidery machine

by P Baines
(Sheffield)

I exchanged a Singer machine for the Brother 4000D embroidery machine as the needles in the Singer kept breaking and flying past my head! Have had absolutely no problems with the 4000D - in fact it's the bees knees. I use it mainly for embroidery and the Disney designs are ACE.

In fact, in Disneyland Paris I was asked where I had bought a pair of jeans which had Mickey Mouse embroidered on. I could make a fortune if I was allowed to set up a stall of clothes outside Disney.

The machine performs perfectly every time and although a considered purchase at £3000, I have no regrets at all. Would definitely purchase again.

lucky brother
by: helena llewellyn south wales uk

hi, nice to see a machine that works. good old brother. i have a lot of disney designs aswell. i love them but alas i am not allowed to sell anything with them on. i could also make a fortune. i'm sorry now that i bought them though, as i didn't realise that they couldn't be sold. never mind, we live and learn. i do them on quilts and cushions for the kids in the family and some friends sometimes and that's about all i can do with them. i always check now with the seller of designs if i can sell them on my work or not and you would be surprised how many allow it. kind regards helena

Brother Innovis 4000D
by: Debby McKnight

I know this is an older machine, but, I have had nothing but trouble since 2007 when I got it. My Brother Innovis 4000D has been in the shop over 20 times in 3 years and I will have it for 3 months, then back it goes. Has anyone else had this problem? Brother does not want to deal with it. Help.

I had one too, 2007 was not a good year for this machine. It would not thread properly, the mechanism would jam, I couldn't trust it to do the complete design without having to stop and retrace steps messing up pieces of clothing galore.
I gave up and traded it for the Quattro which has a different threading mechanism and so far so good.
