Brother LS-2125 sewing machine

I was given Brother LS-2125 sewing machine as a gift from my husband. I have used it several times and have noticed some "quirks"...not really bad, just a nuisance.

If the bobbin isn't place properly in its slot: the thread coming from it will bunch up during sewing and you do not see it until you have cut it from the fabric and look at the opposite side. This tends to use more thread than necessary for the job. I spend 75% of my time, some days, just using my seam ripper to clean it up and starting over.

I was trying to brush off some dust from the zipper foot, using my index finger, and got my finger stuck between the foot and the needle. I could not back the needle away as it was already as high as it would go. Very painful, but I learned a lesson. Of course, some re-designing may be in order....just to make more room in this area for people like me. :)

It does take time to learn the different stitches and how/when to use them.

The Brother LS-2125 sewing machine is a good little basic machine, good for a beginner (like me) and will do until I learn enough to go for the fancier machines.
