I have 4 Janome machines

And I love every one of them. Janome is a work-horse machine.

They are very durable and reliable.

My most recent machine is the 10001, love it, but dreaming of some day getting the 11000.

I'm breaking needles all the time. I'm so frustrated. I've had it checked by three different service men and it comes back just the
same every time.

It jams all the time and over heavy quilted fabric, when I'm making purses, it just can't handle the thickness.

Does anyone have any idea what is wrong with this machine? I've owned 4 different Janome models and this one is driving me crazy.

Hi Linda,
I own the Janome 10001 since 2004. I use mine mostly for piecing and free motion quilting. Although for FM, it has its limitations. Since its purchase I've had to have the bobbin winder serviced. The knee lifter also gets loose and falls to the floor if I don't catch it in time, definitely annoying. I hate this but I honestly think the dealer can't fix it, so I just deal with it. Does your machine do this too? I haven't had any other major gripes about this machine. The embroidery capability is nice but I find myself not using it much, sad. Hopefully in the future I might.
