Janome 344 sewing machine

by Karen
(Ontario Canada)

I bought the Janome 344 sewing machine quite a few years ago to replace a seamstress machine I had. At first it worked fine did the basic sewing I wanted. But then I had curtains to make, and a mother of the bride dress it was a nightmare.

Everytime I stopped sewing I had to adjust the tensions the thread spacing was very poor. You could really see the difference a good machine had made previously. I take good care of my machines I have an embroidery business and know the value of oiling and timing.

But the poorly made nylon gears just didn't hold up and now I am really looking at gears in the new machines. Most are the nylon and they will holdup for only so long good luck.
