Advantages of the Janome 8080
The Janome Harmony 8080 is certainly the machine you want if you are looking to have a wonderful and easy time with your sewing. Here are more things you will be glad to know about this machine:
1. The Janome 8080 is so easy to use and the numerous functions it has are so useful.
The drop-in bobbin particularly has a clear case cover so it's very convenient to spot whether or not you're running out of thread. It also makes changing the feet a breeze since it has snap on and snap off feet.
2. The one-step buttonholes are also very convenient.
Unlike other machines that have one style and four step buttonholers, the Janome 8080 however is different. On the Janome 8080, you can sew up to eight buttonholes that will always come out exactly the same size in less than 15 minutes.
All you need is the buttonhole foot, place the button in the buttonhole foot, and choose your type of buttonhole. It's that simple.
Disadvantages of the Janome 8080
1. Using the needle threader on the 8080 model from Janome can be tricky.
You need to get just the right angle to line up the needle and the thread just right for it to work.
Consumer Review
I purchased this machine from Sears because of their great service and because it was a Janome. The name speaks for itself.
It has a blanket stitch that is very hard to find on most entry level Kenmore and other machines. It is an important fancy stitch to quilters. I love the needle up and down button the most with this machine. Your needle never comes unthreaded. It has been a great purchase and would highly recommend this machine to anyone.
If you're a beginner sewer this machine is also perfect because it is so easy to use, thread, etc. If your more advanced you will love the stitches it offers and the smooth sewing it provides. Enjoy! -donason
