Janome 9500 sewing machine

I wish the Janome 9500 sewing machine (purchased in 2003) could embroider larger designs. I currently have Digitizer 10000 software with a dongle and I download embroidery designs to a card and then use them.

Does anyone know the best software for the Janome 9500 sewing machine in order to update or is there one? I am a novice and need help.

As for sewing, it is a wonderful machine.

I also have a Janome 5 spool serger ... it is a bit much for me. I don't really know how to use it - I just make straight seams with it.
