Janome harmony 8080

I love the Janome Harmony 8080 sewing machine. I have had it several years now and made probably over 25 queen bedspreads and tons of other sewing projects. I have had no trouble at all with the machine. If you could call it a drawback I blow out the fuzz balls from the bobbin area fairly often, but I consider that just maintenance.

The Janome Harmony 8080 is a wonderful machine not only for beginners but I would say anyone. I paid $300 for it on sale and not sure what the new ones cost now, but I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I've been using this machine since Christmas 2002. It's the best, easiest machine I've ever used. It has tons of stitches available, buttonholer, self-hemming tool, quilting tool, velvet foot. Can't say enough good things about it.

Regarding "tricky" threading of machine: If you hit the up/down needle button twice(above the reverse button), the needle will go down then up and be perfectly aligned for the needle threading device. (this hint is in the manual).

Also, if your needle is ever so slightly bent from overuse, and you should change the needle before you begin each new project, the threading device does have a hard time lining up, simply change your needle.
