Janome MC 9700

I love my Janome MC 9700 but have a very hard time downloading designs from my computer to the machine. Once in a while I can download a design but don't know how i did it!

HELP!

I have a scandisk with card. I format the card on the sewing machine, then put it in the scandisk... connect it to the computer.

Then I go to my design files and choose the design I want and copy it to the drive with the scandisk is connected to.

It is transferred to the card. Then I put the card in the sewing machine, select the file folder... it acts like it is downloading the design in to the sewing machine, but when I go to select a design... nothing is there!

SUPER HELP!

Do you have to format the card on the sewing machine each time you download something from the computer?

I hope someone can help.

Bought my Janome MC MC9700 in 2006. I have sewn and embroidered many miles on this machine and love it. No problems, so easy to operate and beautiful results.

Love my Janome 9700

I own the Janome 9700 and it DOES have the free arm capability. I have owned it for about 2 months and so far I love it. I paid $1750.

The answer is NO. Formatting erases every thing and you do not want to do that. You need to go back to the instructions and follow that process carefully. basically you are downloading the file onto your card and then bring that over to your sewing machine and it should be available.
