Janome Memory Craft 350E

Please Read the instructions carefully! I purchased my Janome Memory Craft 350E sewing machine a month ago and just took it out of the box. It worked fine for a few hours and then the carriage arm stopped working.

I thought I had read all information carefully (I skimmed) but overlooked the portion about having the carriage arm back to starting position before shutting down the machine. Please do that!!

My Janome Memory Craft 350E machine is now in the shop. Luckily it gets a year free repair from the shop where it was purchased.

I have had my Janome 350E for over 4 years. I too have had trouble with the tension having to set it on one or just below. I always do a practice run which turns out perfect - then 7/10 times when I do my "good one" the tension goes crazy. I love the machine and the ease of it but it is very frustrating to say the least. It's been checked by a Janome Specialist, different threads used etc but I think I may have just got a "lemon" from the beginning. 8-)

I have been using the Janome 350e sewing machine now for about 4 months... so far I have had only 1 problem, the factory set tension. I had to loosen it from the "3" it was set at when I opened the box and did the first stitch out down to a "1" or just a tad less for most designs. When I figured this out I have been extremely pleased with everything I have tried so far.

I brought the Janome Memory Craft 350E almost 12 mths ago, the reason for my delay to write the review as i really wanted to use the machine before i made any comments. My previous machine was the Singer Futura which i would NOT recommend.... total waste of time and money and NO customer support each and everytime i complained i was told it was either myself or my materials causing the problems........

I can not add any comments for customer support with Janome as i am pleased to say i have NOT had one ounce of problem with my Janome it has printed out the designs each and everytime with NO problems using the same materials as i had with the Futura.

Cant wait to update to a newer machine in a few yrs.

Have had the Janome MC 350E sewing machine for over 2 years. Once I got some initial user error tension issues worked out, I have had an extremely pleasant experience with this machine. I use it up to 10 hours a day... it's a work horse!
