Kenmore Elite - embroidery machine

by Cindy
(Richmond, BC, Canada)

Would not recommend getting the Kenmore Elite embroidery machine. Have been through 2 machines, both ended up not repairable. Then have had problems with Sears getting my money back, or even a credit, so far it's been over 1 1/2 years to try and settle, and they still haven't.

hi, why have you let it go on so long? contact your trading standards department, they will help. or sue in small claims court. i had two pfaff 2170's what rubbish. i had to fight for it to be repaired and once i threatened court action they sat up and took notice. if they can fob you off they will. don't let this happen. we have rights as consumers. demand money back or sue. good luck and kind regards helena. p.s. let me know how you get on.

kenmore 951 stitch sewing/embroidery machine
by: Anonymous

I bought my kenmore sewing/embroidery machine in Aug of 2009. Have spent three mo. trying to find the 128mb compact flash (sandisk only) with an adapter to use my machine. Not an easy task. Sears is no help at all. Kenmore has since stopped making that machine. Otherwise the sewing part is great, but I do not want a machine that I cannot use to embroidery my own designs. Can anyone offer any advise???

yea, start legal proceedings straight away. small claims court won't cost you anything, to delay any longer will be your downfall and the loss of your money. i don't understand why people hang about with stupid dealers who are only pulling the wool over their eyes. at the end of the day they are holding on to your cash. get it back. and certainly don't let them soft soap you any longer. firm and to the point missus. part of your arguement is that they are selling faulty goods that cannot even be repaired as the company no longer makes the machine, so no spare parts are available.
