My Sewing Table in My Kitchen!!!
I have only been sewing since October 2009..and the Kenmore 385-15343 was my first purchase of a sewing machine and I only paid $79.88. I've been happy with the machine and have made several projects with it.
You can purchase additional foots for the machine to expand your possibilities. I've been told that the same company that manufactures Janome Sewing Machines also manufactures the Kenmore Sewing Machines. It's a basic machine and good for a beginner like me and you definitely can't beat the price.
I found out that Sears has been making the Kenmore Brand Name Sewing Machines since 1913 and they were right up there in popularity to Singer Machines. I figured if they've been selling sewing machines that long...they must be good at it...they still carry these machines in their retail stores.
The manual is easy to follow and you can even go on E-bay to purchase "Sears original videos on Sew It Up"... projects for the beginner. This machine is well worth the money and an excellent buy!
