Kenmore Zig-Zag

The Kenmore Zig-Zag sewing machine was a gift in 1969 and I have used it consistently since then. I first made children's clothing, re-upholstered car seats with original material/piping, etc. This is when I named my machine the "work-horse".
I graduated to dance costumes as the youngest child got involved in all dances. ballet, tap, jazz, Highland and Irish folk dances. I learned how to make kilts and even made one for a 6'4" large man for the play Brigadoon. It worked great.
I made many, many costumes over the years for many plays, both community players and summer programs and even a university dance program for
8 ea. men and women. I've done many things with this machine and most of them I'm very proud of.
I have only had to have it checked once and found a scratch in the bobbin case - repairable, but it kept breaking thread - in 40 years I call that remarkable. I just found this site in looking for a machine for an ex-daughter-in-law. I Sincerely hopes she hooks up and buys one - they can't be beat.
Needless to say I heartily recommend the Kenmore Zig-Zag machine - and hopefully all of Kenmore machines will hold up as well as my treasure.
