Pat's Quilt Studio

One side of the sewing room

I had a small building on our home property I was able to set up my studio in. My sewing area is about 11 x 14.

I have shelves on one side for my fabrics, a cutting area using a microwave cart with a cutting mat on top, my large cutting table has old sewing machine drawers on it with fat quarters in and can be pulled out for large projects or garment making.

I have shelves for my books and magazines, behind the machine table. On one side is my machine quilt frame, an easy chair for looking at project plans or company, and a small design wall. In the center of the room is a large sewing table that my Bernina is in. It has the lift in it so I can put the machine under the table and an inset so that the machine can be flush with the table for free motion quilting.

I use baskets on my shelves for large scraps and fat quarters. It's a pleasant and well organized room to relax and create in.
