Pfaff 7530

by Bill
(Denver, CO)

Overall, the Pfaff 7530 sewing machine has been a piece of junk.

I just took it in for repairs (LCD won't display again) and repairs are estimated at $500 for either a new circuit board or LCD display.

This is not the first time this has happened. I probably will not ever buy a Pfaff product again.

pfaff 7530

hi, how long have you had this machine? In Britain we have trading standards that sort this crap out and it's free. Surely you have a warranty and gaurantee with it. Trading standards will help up to 5 years after purchase of a faulty item. I had to speak to them about the pfaff 2170 i bought and that turned out to be a load of shite aswell. Pfaff are going down in my eyes. They should be battered with complaints by us until they do something about things that are wrong. Best of luck regards Helena

Pfaff 7530
by: Ellen

My Pfaff 7530 served me well with heavy use and regular tune-ups for 12 years, before biting the dust with a blown-out motherboard. Repairs are now estimated at $500, but beyond the high price the worst part is that the refurbished board would only have a 90-day warranty! To replace this machine would require a Pfaff Expressions 0.3 at $2400. Forget it. I'm picking up a $500 Singer on EBay today.

My poor PFAFF!
by: Anonymous

My husband bought me my 7530 PFAFF when we moved to Indiana in 1996. It has been a dream machine! I love it! Sunday the computer just went dark in the middle of a sewing project. I took it in on Tuesday and the shop said it was the circuit board without even looking at it. The cost to rebuild the board is maybe $300.00. I just don't know what to do!

hi,
The bobbin sensor light on my Pfaff no longer works. The machine was 8 years old when this happened. Parts cannot be found -or perhaps the mother board needs to be replaced, which I did 5 or 6 years ago due to an electrical surge. I am very disappointed with this machine and with Pfaff.I do a lot of free motion sewing and it is very frustrating to have the bobbin run out of thread without any warning.

I replaced the circuit board after 4 years due to an electrical surge. Now the bobbin sensor light no longer works which makes free motion sewing very frustrating. I am told I would have to replace the board again. The machine is only 9 years old. I am very disappointed and do not think I would buy a Pfaff again.

7530 motherboard
by: Anonymous

I loved my Pfaff 7530 until the day the motherboard died. The dual feed was great, if I could pin my seams to match perfectly the dual feed sewed them perfectly. I thought I would use this machine for years.

The repair was $500.00! The dealer told me Pfaff is no longer manufacturing the mother board and my broken board was replaced with a "rebuilt" part. This makes me wonder if parts will be available when this happens again. The dealer suggested I trade in the 7530 and pay another $2000.00 for a newer machine. That's not happening and I'm looking for another brand of sewing machine.

Pfaff is a German company known for German engineering, can't they manufacture a sewing machine that will last, work great and not continue to have repairs cost more than the machine is worth?

Pfaff 7530
by: Anonymous

13 years ago my husband purchased a used Pfaff 7530 for me and it has been a dream machine, sewing quietly, smoothly, and precisely. Without looking at the machine, the Pfaff dealer said the circuit board needs to be replaced, basing her opinion on the fact that the light came on, but nothing else. It is going to cost me $400 to have a new circuit board put in. She then showed me newer machines, but they were in the thousands of dollars, so I am going to bite the bullet and pay the $400 and hope that the machine will last another 13 + years. BTW, I'm also buying a cheaper brand sewing machine just in case my hopes don't pan out with the new circuit board.

Pfaff Creative 7510
by: Jen

I had the Pfaff Creative 7510 sewing machine for 15 years & thought it would last a lot longer than this. I've used it for basic sewing, a few decorative type projects and monograms.

Now when I turn on the machine, I kept getting "Internal Error". Took it to get an estimate for repair. The technician(s) say that the main board needs replacing which will cost almost $600 (parts & labor) to fix. Even the machine is not worth that much now.

Back 15 years ago, I paid over $1500 for this machine. So much for buying high-end products. I am disappointed with the Pfaff product.

Does anyone know how much this machine weighs? I'm sure Pfaff does not make plastic parts for their machines.

Does anyone have similar issues with this type of machine?
