Singer 2037 sewing machine

I was given the Singer 2037 sewing machine as a gift. I'm sorry for that, because of it I can't return it to the store. This machine is a piece of junk. The thread jumps out of the thread guide.

Cleaning it is a chore. It will work fine for a while then become the nightmare it is. I just cleaned it, changed the needle and re-threaded it three time. I checked the bobbin seating and tension. I read the manual completely twice.

This piece of junk is still making birds nests and if I could throw it away I would. When did Singer stop trying to maintain good customer service? I'll never buy another one.

One really good point; I work as a housekeeper. The women I work for ask me for advice about small appliances. I've had the opportunity to advise them not to buy any sewing product from Singer. I will continue to do so in the future.
