Singer 5632 machine

by Lacinda
(Springdale,ARrrrrrrr)

I inherited the Singer 5632 sewing machine from my grandmother after her death.

It is an excellent machine: sews smoothly, is quiet, easy to thread and fill bobbin and has several choices of zig-zag stitches, which I rarely use, but they're there in case I need them! I'm a quilter and this machine works great for my purposes.

The only negative thing I have to say is that it is a bit heavy to move around. The carry case makes moving it around convenient, but it is a bit heavy. Otherwise, I have only good things to say about this machine.

I grew up with my other grandmother sewing on a petal Singer. It worked beautifully and my aunt has it.

I hope to inherit it someday. Singers are very reliable machines and as far as I'm concerned, they area part of the American landscape.
