Singer XL5000 sewing machine

No, too many problems with the Singer XL5000, and Singer is and was aware of it. The 6000 came in within 6/mo of the 5000 to address many of the issues although they would not replace the 5000's.

The psw software is very tempermental and hard to use and understand, but after hours and hours of trying a little understand can be achieved

I wish i had bought something else but i have too much money invested in this one and can;t see dumping it and starting over.

hi, you seem to be in dispair about this machine. don't dispair love. take it back and demand your money back. if that doesn't happen then start legal proceedings through the small claims court to get your money back. if the machine was a lemon from the off they don't really have a leg to stand on. keep all your paperwork for repairs done to the machine as this has problem and date on it. also check warranty and submit that. if you have had to pay for any work to be done to the machine get that paperwork aswell. check with trading standards, they really can help and they will. they did with me with the pfaff 2170 i bought last year. what a bloody lemon that was. you must stand up and do something love, otherwise they are just robbing you. good luck, kind regards helena
