How to Thread a White Sewing Machine
Keeping It Simple
How to thread a White sewing machine is no longer an issue these days, especially if you have more hi-tech equipment with you.
Some of them already have a built-in automatic threader, which only takes seconds for your machine to be ready in use.
But what if you have an older White sewing machine?
How to Thread a White Sewing Machine Manually
If you're having problems with threading a White sewing machine, you'd be surprised on how easy it can get sometimes. The procedure is basically similar as other sewing equipment.
The spool receptacle, which is the metal rod that protrudes from the sewing machine, is normally located as the top back portion. You need to place your thread spool there. Stretch it until you can have at least two feet of thread.
You then have to look for the metal loop. Depending on the sewing machine that you're going to choose, there could be at most two of them.
One can be located at the upper portion of the arm opening of a White sewing machine, the other on the center front. You then need to get the thread to pass through these loops, as if the thread runs from right to left of your sewing equipment.
After this, the thread should proceed to the tension regulator. This is the dial that is made up of numbers. There are two plates that you can see in there, as well as an arm that tends to move up and down. The thread should go towards the arm and the two plates.
Now, the arm actually contains a hole, where the thread should pass through too. Once this is done, you should look for the metal loop found at the front portion of the replacement nut of the needle. You can instantly see that as it's just the one with a small screw nut. It also holds the needle firmly. Lastly, insert the thread into the needle.
How to Thread 1505 and 1510 White Sewing Machines
Knowing how to thread a White sewing machine, especially the 1505 and 1510, can be pretty easy, as there are already several diagrams that you can look for in the Internet.
Manuals are also sold, together with the unit or individually. However, if you don't have one, you may refer to the procedure below:
Turn the hand wheel toward you. This way, you will be able to set to the highest position your needle. Next, you need to remove the bobbin from its case by opening the shuttle cover and then the bobbin case latch. Place the pin on the topmost cover of the sewing machine.
You then have to add a spool to the pin and draw the thread, based on the guidelines given in the diagram. In a clockwise motion, wind the thread into the bobbin multiple times and subsequently push the bobbin into the spindle.
Pressing on the foot controller, press the bobbin to the right. You will know when you have completely rewound the bobbin when the sewing equipment will just automatically stop.
When it is, you will then have to let go of the foot controller and remove your hand from the wheel. You will then have to push the bobbin toward the left. Next, remove the bobbin from its spindle and get rid of the excess thread with the use of a scissor or a razor blade.
Ensure that you have the manual near you, when you're still not aren't sure how to go about threading the sewing machine. It's better to be slow at first than commit a lot of mistakes, causing potential problems to your sewing design or even to the equipment itself.
