Viking Platinum 715 and EM10

I just taught myself to sew on the basic Viking about three years ago. I am now totally hooked. I bought my Viking Platinum 715 used and it is a fantastic sewing machine.

The Platinum 715 does everything I ask of it and more. I am now in love with Vikings.

My first machine was around $150 and is a great machine for beginners. My Viking Platinum 715 is fantastic for advancing sewing, the more I learn the more it has to offer. The quality is well worth the price.

I have Multiple Sclerosis and it has affected my vision. Sewing has helped me "exercise" my detailed vision and the Platinum has many features to ease things I would not be able to do if I didn't have the computerized settings to set up my projects.

The LCD screen is large enough that I do not have to strain to see what I have entered. The self-threading needle comes in handy on days I am unable to thread the needle myself. The needles and bobbins are easy to put in and guides are clearly marked on the machine to aid in threading the needle.

I have recently purchased the Viking EM10 embroidery machine. I have been having some trouble with it, but that could be me and not the machine. The items I have been able to do are so easy. The fact that editing can be done on your larger computer screen and any embroidery design can be used is so great.

I hope to become fluent with this machine also. One day, I hope to have a collection of the dream Vikings and help supplement my income. I pray the day never comes that I can no longer sew.

I a few short years, I have gone from sewing hems to being able to make my own clothes. I hope to one day make a wedding gown for someone, this is my goal. I know sewing has helped me keep and even improve my detailed vision.

My Vikings are not only great machines, but they are helping me save my vision and give me a purpose since I have had to quit working. I can't praise Viking machines enough and tell everyone that these are the machines to buy.
