White 1409 sewing machine

Ok, I'm a guy whose wife left him and took the kids, but at least there was no dog to take, and I bought the White 1409 sewing machine after she left.

I do still get the kids on weekends (if she allows me to see them) and I need to fix their clothes.

The White 1409 is a basic machine that works well. You can change the arm to do sleeves (from a table), and it does all the basic stitches. it reverses, and changing foot pressure is easy. It can take a double needle, and is made mainly of metal with some plastic.

It is cheap, important when your spouse (and lawyer) take all your money.

Moreover, it comes with three feet (zig zag, zipper, button) and an adjustable button holer. Adding extra feet is easy, as they are standard short shank 'snap in' type. I'll be getting a blind hem foot to fix the second hand suits I now must buy.

It might not mend a broken heart, but so far at least its been more faithful than my wife.
