White model 2037

I have had a White 2037 sewing machine for the last few years. It is a great machine and does all that I need it to do.
The buttonholer works reliably and quickly without binding up. It has 37 stitches and a good wide zigzag.
Has the "needle position" feature which is wonderfully helpful when trying to mend an item like a backpack zipper.
It is sturdy, heavy duty, has a metal 'shell' and sits well on the sewing table....doesn't 'dance' off the edge when sewing fast!!!!
The White 2037 goes easily through several layers of denim, yet sews well on sheer fabrics. I bought a 'tote bag' for it and that helps when I need to take my sewing machine somewhere.
Just pick up the two handles and head out the door.
I also have my mom-in-law's White sewing machine (in cabinet.) The patent on that model is 1927, but my mom in law bought it in Hawaii later than that.
She is a Pearl Harbor Survivor spouse and that was 1941, so I expect she bought the sewing machine around 1940/41.
It sews very well indeed and has quite and array of 'attachments.'
