White Super Lock 534

by Peggy Free
(Piedmont, AL 36272)

My husband bought my White Super Lock 534 sewing machine for me in 1987. (I was actually shocked when I saw the sales slip stapled to the front of my book, that it had indeed been 23 years ago.)

I have used it at home regularly since. During 1989-1991 I was part owner of a small sewing shop where we specialized in unique items. I even used my personal serger for some of these items even though we had 4 commercial sergers. We found my machine made a much prettier stitch, held just as well and was fast enough to be efficient.

I have been sewing for 55 years, have clothed 3 children, 7 grandchildren, myself and my husband and have sewn for others. I own 5 machines and my serger is by far my favorite. I don't know what I would do without it.

I have never had to have my White Super Lock 534 machine worked on. I have replaced the knife one time and it is still working well. Outside of cleaning, oiling, changing the needles occasionally and making minor adjustments to the tension, it is care free.

Thank you for such a good product. I hate to think of ever trying to replace it for I know I will never find another machine that will be as reliable as this one has been.
